Surface Finishing/SurfaceTreatment Technique
Max Prototype limited
To provide total solution of metal and plastic project, Max prototype also offers wide range of surface treatment process to provide final product to customer. We had developed painting process, anodizing process, plating process, grinding, polishing, sandblasting and PVD process. All of these surface treatment processes are under controlled by process control plan and all material we used on surface treatment is also ROHS complied.
Anodizing is one of surface treatment process often applied on aluminum alloy by changing the properties of the aluminum surface layer. This changed surface significantly improved the corrosion protection, surface hardness, anti-scratch, heat resistance and also appearance. Wide range of color is available on the surface. General anodizing, hard anodizing and double faded color anodizing is also available in our company.
All of these processes are applied to physically removed material on product with any undesired unsmooth surface, contaminated surface and oxide surface, the purpose it to achieve consistent surface. Sanding or grinding is normally used as the first step to remove any machining mark and oxide casting surface and also achieve reasonable consistent surface finish, but it is not the final finish for a product. Sandblasting can be used as a final finish to achieve unique textures upon customer requirement, general alumina sand blast, glass bead sand blast, ceramic bead blast and steel ball blast is available. Polishing is to use different grade of sand belt to achieve from consistent rough to consistent mirror finish, which is also used as semi finish before blasting or before painting.
Painting is one of our key processes which used on most of metal and plastic product to achieve customer design intention. All painting processes are done under dust-free workshop and all paint compounds are ROHS complied. Paint layer on any product will follow standard test/inspection process and criteria to check color fastness, adhesion capability and cosmetic. We follow Pantone Color code to achieve your design.
PVD is an advanced surface treatment process which often used on stainless steel and titanium alloy product in our company. The PVD layer can give product total different finish and high anti-scratch capability, the PVD layer is only 0.8um to 5.0um. PVD normally applied on high polished stainless steel and titanium alloy product, like watch, golf head and vaping device.
